Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 October 2026
In plain words. Verge is a planning tool, not a bank. It never holds or moves your money. Its figures are only as accurate as what you enter, and the decisions about your money are always yours.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Verge Finance ("Verge", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Verge app or website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Verge.
2. What Verge is, and isn't
- Verge helps you keep track of your MoMo, bank and cash, and estimates how much you can spend.
- Verge is not a bank, mobile money provider, lender or payment service. It cannot send, receive, hold or save money, and it does not connect to your accounts.
- Verge does not give financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Safe-to-Spend, insights and tips are general guidance based on the information you provide.
3. Who can use Verge
You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms. You confirm this when you create an account. Because Verge never holds money, we don't ask for ID to check age; if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it. You may use one account for yourself; don't create an account for someone else without their permission.
4. Your account
- Keep access to your account secure, including the phone or Google account you sign in with. We recommend turning on App lock.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- The details you give us, such as your name and phone number, must be yours and accurate.
5. Accuracy: what Verge does, and what you do
Safe-to-Spend is calculated exactly from what you enter: your balances, bills, payday, goals and the expenses you log. When that information is accurate and up to date, the figure is accurate. Verge is built not to overstate it:
- Income is only counted once it has arrived and is in a balance you entered. Money you're expecting is never counted in advance.
- Bills due before payday, money set aside for goals and your safety buffer are taken out before you see the figure.
Verge can't see your real accounts, so it can't know about anything you don't enter. Please:
- enter balances as they really are, checked in your MoMo menu (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money) or banking app, and don't round them up;
- log spending, especially cash, the same day;
- correct a balance when it no longer matches your real one.
Check your real balances before important spending decisions. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Using Verge fairly
Verge is for keeping track of your own money. To keep it safe and working for everyone, you agree not to:
- access, or try to access, anyone else's account or data, or let others use your account;
- use Verge to record or plan money for fraud, scams, money laundering or anything else unlawful;
- present Verge's figures or screenshots as official statements, proof of income or proof of funds. They are your own records, not a bank's;
- pretend to be Verge or its staff, or use Verge's name to ask people for PINs, passwords or money. Verge will never ask for these;
- copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or build a competing product from it;
- interfere with, overload or test the security of our systems without our written permission (if you find a security problem, please tell us at the contact below);
- sign up others to the waitlist without their permission, or use automated tools to create accounts or submit forms.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account (see section 9).
7. Changes and availability
We're improving Verge all the time, so features may change, be added or be removed. We aim to keep Verge available but can't promise it will always be free of errors or interruptions. Features marked "Coming soon" aren't available yet.
8. Our responsibility to you
Verge is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from decisions you make about your money, from inaccurate information entered into the app, or from interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ghanaian consumer law that cannot be limited.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Verge and delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account and data (or see Delete my account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; where reasonable, we'll tell you first.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Verge after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana will deal with any disputes.
